Where the Dream Began
The Beginning of Our Ranch Story
This photo was taken in 2020, shortly after our family purchased this South Texas property with big dreams of building our Texas Longhorn herd and creating a ranch rooted in tradition, stewardship, and hard work. Like many ranching families, the years that followed brought drought and unexpected challenges that changed our plans and tested what came next. Ranching rarely follows a straight path, and the journey has looked different than we first imagined.
The drought forced us to make difficult decisions, including a significant reduction of our herd. Today, three very special girls remain — 2W Lady’s Arrow, 2W Pearl’s JuJu, and 2W Starlight’s Hot Toddy — the first three calves born on our ranch and a reminder of where this story began. They represent more than cattle to us; they carry the heart of our ranch, the memories of the early days, and the hope for what comes next.
Today, we continue rebuilding with resilience — honoring the legacy of our Texas Longhorns while looking toward the future. Our vision remains rooted in preserving the heritage of the breed, rebuilding our herd with purpose, and growing a ranch-to-table operation that reflects the values this land has taught us: patience, perseverance, and faith in the seasons ahead.
